Bleep Bulimia Episode 103 With Ben Oofana The Healer
Very interesting conversation with Ben Oofana. Healer. He has been in practice for 35 years. We chatted about bulimia and his three most powerful interactions. Deep tissue massage, acupuncture, and floatation tanks.
Ben speaks about his own trauma and how he helps others with their own. He speaks to numbing and avoiding.
I did bring up the fact that being an adult with bulimia and being in mid-life bulimia. This is different than working with children.
Ben responded that even if he has limited information of the individual, he does admit many incidences, but his clients don't divulge all he needs to know to heal.
Typical of bulimics.
Ben states he will take his hands and scan the person. And he says he then feels in person how they hurt emotionally.
Accessing emotions and working with emotions is important. And getting connected to their physical bodies is important to overcome the emotional triggers.
Best line. Digest your emotions. Learn through how to do that in a healthy manner.

More about Ben:
After a succession of destructive relationships in his
mid-twenties, Ben realized that he was reenacting the
traumas of his childhood and adolescence. Being very
intuitive, he began to develop an entire series of
intensive meditation practices to facilitate the
awakening of the innate healing intelligence residing
within the body and mind.
Ben began to explore a wide range of therapeutic
interventions and soon thereafter returned to the
ancient practices he had learned while training with
Horace Daukei, a traditional Native American doctor
(medicine man) from the Kiowa Tribe. Ben later went
on to train with Chinese Master Sifu Li Tai Liang. He
has incorporated these practices that have their roots
in the ancient Taoist lineages.
